Oliver Kern began his record attempt at midnight on 7 October 2025 at the mountain station in the SnowWorld Bispingen ski hall. Thanks to meticulous planning and the comprehensive support of the SnowWorld Bispingen team, he managed to set his eighth world record in the first hour with 24 rides on the detachable six-seater chairlift from Doppelmayr, covering 910 meters in altitude. By 11 a.m., he had completed another 202 rides on the chairlift at full speed. At 11 a.m., the ski hall was opened to the public, so Oliver Kern switched to the platter lift, as the chairlift could no longer run at full speed with guests on board. He now had the platter lift to himself for 9 hours and was able to complete 219 runs. At 8 p.m., the ski hall closed to guests and Oliver Kern switched back to the chairlift. Between 8 p.m. and midnight, he completed another 79 trips on the chairlift. At 11.29 p.m., the old world record was broken and Oliver Kern added a few more meters of altitude. The last run was made at 11.45 p.m. On 7 October 2025, a total of 20,319 meters of altitude were covered in the ski hall, setting Oliver Kern's 9th world record. The cold temperatures in the ski hall were particularly challenging. After just six hours, Oliver Kern was completely frozen through. However, thanks to glove warmers and a hot water bottle, he was able to keep himself reasonably warm and achieve both world records.
