From there, a chairlift also leads to the summit of Fellberg. At the top of the Silbersattel ski area, visitors are rewarded with wonderful views of the Thuringian Forest and the Franconian Forest. Among the slopes of the Ski Arena available for sporty skiing is the black Silbersattel Steilhang – the steepest slope in Thuringia and one of the most challenging north of the Alps. Cross-country skiers and skaters will also find plenty to enjoy in the Silbersattel winter sports area. A beautiful selection of ski touring trails through the Thuringian Forest Nature Park awaits.
