Families and children will feel right at home in the Ski Juwel. A KidsRun and a Funslope offer lots of variety and fun for the whole family. Children's areas, childcare services and several practice lifts are distributed throughout the ski resort. The children's area is an ideal place for kids to take their first steps in the snow, before progressing to the practice lifts and finally the other lifts. The Schatzberg Zwergenland (Dwarfland) is particularly recommended. The Zwergenland area at the middle station of the Schatzbergbahn lift is ideal for first attempts on skis, for improving or playing in the snow.
The Wildschönau is also home to the 5-kilometre Schatzberg toboggan run from the middle station to Auffach. The “Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser”, a year-round Alpine coaster, starts directly at the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn lift.

KidsRun Wiedersberger Horn
The KidsRun is located at the Gmahbahn lift. Fun characters, waves and steep turns promise lots of excitement for children.
Zwergenland Schatzberg (Dwarfland): children's area/beginners’ area
At the middle station of the Schatzbergbahn lift, there is a large children's area for ski lessons booked with the ski school. The Skischule Wildschönau ski school looks after children from 4 years of age. Children learn to ski and have fun in the snow with magic carpets, a snowball playground, the large Schatzberg igloo, a ski carousel and a photo wall.
Zwergenland Schatzberg (Dwarfland): Children's fun area & magic carpet
The Zwergenland (Dwarfland) at the middle station of the Schatzbergbahn lift is ideal for families. Outside the children's area, there is an XL magic carpet for public use. The fun area promises lots of excitement with a wave run and fun elements. There are easy slopes at the button lift and tow lift. A toboggan run to the valley also starts here. The Berggasthaus Koglmoos beside the Schatzberg Zwergenland (Dwarfland) is a good place for a break.
Funslope Wiedersberger Horn
The Funslope is located at the Familienabfahrt (family run). Fun boxes with noises, a wave run, steep turns and a tunnel make the Funslope lots of fun for the whole family.
Top of Alpbachtal
Spectacular views await you at the Top of Alpbachtal. The 13-metre-high observation tower at the mountain station of the Hornbahn 2000 lift offers an impressive 360° view at the highest point in the ski resort. The tower is made from wood, with panoramic windows and a viewing platform.
Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser
This modern Alpine coaster went into operation right next to the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn lift in Alpbach in the 2017/18 season. At speeds of up to 40 km/hour, the Lauser-Sauser whizzes down towards the valley over two jumps, waves and through two 360° turns. The 1.5 kilometre route leading towards the Kohlgrubenlift covers 134 vertical metres. This thrilling ride is lots of fun for all ages. At the end, you simply remain seated and a cable winch transports you comfortably back to the start.
Juppi Do children's area
The Juppi Do children's area is located right next to the base station of the Reitherkogelbahn in Reith im Alpbachtal. It includes an area with magic carpets for complete beginners and an area with a people mover and different trails for children who are already confident skiers. Skiing through an enchanted forest and over a course with varied obstacles is great fun for kids.
Frosty's Schneewelt run by Skischule Alpbach Aktiv
This children's area is located on the Wiedersberger Horn beside the Gasthof Hornboden, below the mountain station of the gondola lift. If offers a full programme of children's ski lessons. There are two SunKid magic carpets, one of which is covered.
Kinderland Ski & Smile run by Skischule skiCheck Alpbach
This children's area is located in Inneralpbach at the Kinderhotel Galtenberg. A covered moving carpet, funny characters and a carousel make learning to ski child’s play.
Children's practice area run by Skischule Alpbach
Children can take their first steps in the snow at a special children's lift (undisturbed by other skiers) in the children's area in Inneralpbach. The area is located at the Hotel Galtenberg in Inneralpbach.
Childcare in the Kids Center
Childcare for children between 2 and 4 years old. Children are looked after with great care for an hourly rate (no skiing) in the premises below the mountain station of the Alpbach gondola lift (near "Frosty's Schneewelt”).

The AKTI-Abenteuerland (adventure land) with people mover is located in the valley area in Niederau. Childcare for children between 2 and 5 years old is provided in the Akti-Mini-Dragon-Club in the middle of the ski resort.
