The Weißsee Glacier World near Uttendorf in the Pinzgau region offers high-alpine skiing enjoyment against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The ski area is located at the end of the Stubach Valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Thanks to its high altitude, skiing is guaranteed well into April.The Weißsee Glacier World near Uttendorf in the Pinzgau region offers high-alpine skiing enjoyment against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The ski area is located at the end of the Stubach Valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Thanks to its high altitude, skiing is guaranteed well into April. The slopes of all levels of difficulty are situated above the tree line. From the Grünsee mid-station back to the valley station, there is only one ski route. Numerous variants and deep-snow slopes also attract freeriders and ski tourers to the winter sports area above Uttendorf. The impressive panorama in the Weißsee ski area also makes the terraces of the Berghotel Rudolfshütte and the Gasthaus Grünsee very popular with sun worshippers.
