The ski area offered a selection of easy and intermediate slopes for skiing and snowboarding, served by a T-bar lift and a small chairlift. With the development of larger ski resorts in the region, the Sunset Ski Area came under increasing pressure. In the 1980s, ski operations were eventually discontinued.
