Family offers/child-friendly rating Stubai Glacier (Stubaier Gletscher)
At the Stubai Glacier, a lot is done to ensure families with children have an especially pleasant stay. Children up to 10 years old and accompanying grandparents aged 80 and above can use lifts and cable cars free of charge.
The BIG FAMILY children's and beginner's area is located right in the ski resort at the Gamsgarten mountain station. The area offers everything needed for an excellent family holiday. Children learn to ski in the Kinderland with several magic carpets, at the Gamsgarten practice lift, and on the easy slopes around the Kitzlift and the Murmele chairlift. There is also a children's restaurant. The Big Family Ski-Camp is operated by the Skischule Neustift. A kindergarten looks after children from the age of 3, even if they are not skiing.
Other family highlights for the youngest guests include a tubing carousel, a children's slalom, and a giant snow mammoth for playing. For experienced ski kids, the Big Family Fun Slope wave run and the Speed-Check (Daunferner) are ideal. Snow groomer rides for children are also offered.

Big Family Fun Slope
The Fun Slope on the Seeblick slope above the Gamsgarten mountain station offers waves, jumps, steep turns, and fun obstacles. Fun for the whole family!
Big Family Children and Youth Ski Camp
At the Gamsgarten mountain station, the BIG Family Ski-Camp is available, featuring three covered magic carpets and lots of imaginative decorations. The children's area is operated by the Schischule Neustift Stubaier Gletscher. Here, children learn to ski with plenty of fun and receive comprehensive supervision. Lunchtime supervision takes place in the children's restaurant.
Big Family Kinderland
At the Gamsgarten mountain station, beginner children can enjoy playful skiing fun in the Big Family Kinderland on the covered magic carpet (No. 1), as well as at the children's slalom, tire carousel, and snow mammoth.
Big Family children's restaurant
At the Gamsgarten mountain station, there is a dedicated children's restaurant for ski school children. The children are supervised by the ski instructors.
Big Family Kindergarten
The indoor kindergarten is located at the Gamsgarten mountain station. Children from the age of 3 are warmly welcome. The offer is aimed at children who are not yet participating in ski lessons, while parents enjoy the slopes.
Big Family Snow Mammoth
At the giant mammoth made of snow at the Gamsgarten mountain station, children can climb, romp, and slide. Usually on display between February and April.
