NEW! Powder Department Stubai Glacier
In addition to the Pieps training facility for avalanche search and rescue and safety camps, numerous off-piste routes for all levels of ability have been defined. From simple “slope-side” runs, to short hikes and challenging alpine adventures with abseiling, glacier crossing and steep gullies: the selection of routes is extremely varied. Special freeride checkpoints, a freeride map, videos of the routes and freeride runs are available as GPS downloads.

Winter hiking path to the TOP OF TYROL at 3,210 m
The Stubai Glacier lift brings you directly to the glacier area where you can enjoy the glacier air on a marked and secured winter hiking path. The groomed winter hiking path from the Gamsgarten mountain station to the TOP OF TYROL at 3,210 m with its approx. 600 m vertical difference makes the Stubai Glacier an athletic experience for non-skiers and hikers. The hike takes about 1.5 hours.At the TOP OF TYROL, you can then enjoy the view from the peak platform!
New Gamsgarten Alpine Center
Ice climbing, LVS training area, Flying Fox and Freeride Center StubaiEspecially interesting for tour skiers: the correct behavior during avalanches is trained at the training area for avalanche searches on the Gamsgarten. Those who want to take off their skis to try something new can take a course in ice climbing or can glide over the ski resort with the 250 meter long Flying Fox.
The Freeride Center Stubai offers guided tours through the Stubai Mountains.
Expansion of the Moreboards Stubai Zoo
The international and local snowboard and freeski scene meets at the Snowpark Moreboards Stubai Zoo, which has become one of the top snowparks in Europe. Professionals show their spectacular tricks on the 3-line kicker, rails and boxes. The Stubai Zoo will be expanded in the 2011/2012 season to include a beginner and medium line on the other side of the lift. A park base with many features also welcomes visitors.

The TOP OF TYROL peak platform provides a fascinating panoramic view from the Ötztal Alps, across the Stubai Alps and to the Dolomites. All nature lovers and hikers can enjoy the beauty and peace of the Tyrolean mountains during a break at the peak - a great number of peaks will seem close enough to touch.NEW: Panorama experience with the Viscope telescope, which also shows the names of the mountains viewed.
New Eisgrat playground
Play, fun and action at 2,900 m.At the beginning of the summer holiday, the new playground on the Eisgrat will open. The playground will include a small cable slide, a carousel, various swings and a climbing tower with slide. The challenge during construction of the playground was the unstable surface. Every year during construction, the foundation must be reset.Parents can now enjoy a cappuccino on the sun terrace at 2,900 m while watching their children play on the glacier playground after a visit to the TOP OF TYROL viewing platform at 3,210 m.

Renovation of the Bergrestaurant Eisgrat
The new building on the Eisgrat contains the exquisite full-service restaurant "Schaufelspitz", a high quality market restaurant in freeflow design, the cafè bar "Zum Steinbock" as well as a 700 m² sporting goods shop. With the grand opening of the restaurant on the Eisgrat, the Stubai Glacier began a new era: The finest fresh pasta made in the highest pasta factory in the world. Penne, fettuccine and tagliatelle are made from durum wheat and water according to Italian tradition.
