At the base station of the Aineck lift on the Katschberghöhe
The gourmet ski hut on the Katschberg offers an exclusive wine cellar with wines from throughout the world, a cheese cellar with some self-produced cheese varieties and a meat curing cabinet. 30 different cheese varieties from Carinthia, Bregenz Forest, Lech Valley and Friaul await the guests.
At 1850 m above sea level, directly on the Gamskogel slope
The cozy ski hut with a very large sun terrace offers a variety of Carinthian delicacies made with ingredients from the region and organic farms. All dishes are freshly prepared at the hut. The Gamskogelhütte is located directly on the Carinthian/Salzburg border. Bread is prepared in Carinthia and baked in Salzburg. They also offer toboggan evenings two times a week (and every evening during the school holidays) on the floodlit toboggan run. Probably the highest registry office in Austria is located at the Gamskogelhütte and the Marien Chapel is right next door.

Fascinating view from the sun terrace - from the Nock Mountains to the Hohen Tauern. You can enjoy a view of 1/5 of Austria from the Aineck.
A tip located a bit off the beaten path: After a 4 km hiking path (1 hour long comfortable hike), you will reach the rustic Pritzhütte in the Gontal conservation area on the Katschberg.
You can ride up to the Pritzhütte in a romantic horse-drawn sleigh during the winter or get pulled up by the Katschberg bio lift (organic lift): You ski with an experienced ski instructor from the Tschaneck on a natural slope to the Pritzhütte and then get back to the Katschberghöhe with the bio lift (skiers hang on to ropes behind the horse-drawn sleigh).
