The ski resort of Katschberg is situated on the border between the Salzburg region and Carinthia. On the Katschberghöhe, the two ski mountains of Aineck and Tschaneck offer snow-reliable skiing within easy access of the Tauernautobahn motorway. One highlight in the winter sports resort is undoubtedly the numerous mountain huts which guarantee very special lunch breaks for skiers with their rustic atmosphere and regional specialities. The ski resort of Katschberg is great fun for children - with attractions including the mascot “Katschi” who can be found out and about on the slopes. Katschi’s Kinderland children’s area on the Aineck offers extra care for children from 3 to 6 years of age. Slightly older kids practise on child-friendly slopes in Katschi’s Children's World and on a special obstacle course winding through a series of talking Katschi figures. Children have almost endless fun here, and practically need to then be carried into the nearby indoor heated area.
