There are no longer any cross-country trails on the Katschberghöhe. The 31 kilometre sunny Murtalloipe trail leads past St. Margarethen. The free ski bus provides access to an additional 110 kilometres of cross-country trails (classic and skating) in the Lungau region in just 10 minutes.

• Pöllatal/Rennweg cross-country trail

  Not directly at the ski resort. Tip in Rennweg: starting point is from car park 1 in the Pöllatal. Covering around 8 kilometres (there and back) of well-maintained and groomed trails, the Pöllatal nature and conservation area offers cross-country skiers very good skiing conditions and impressive mountain scenery. The Pöllatal also offers many kilometres of winter hiking trails and is accessible from Rennweg. The cosy Schoberblick hut run by Harald and Elisabeth Pirker is a nice place to stop for a break (open daily except on Mondays).
