    The Achensee region is often deeply covered in snow during the midwinter months due to its location. In the mountain ski area, only natural snow is used. At the Planberg and Wiesen lifts, the Pertisau ski school operates three snow cannons to help ensure ski operations at the beginner lifts and in the children's area.
