The area surrounding the Karwendel Bergbahn with its expansive snowy fields, the impressive mountain landscape and the beautiful Achensee, is a great region for cross-country skiers! The routes through the Gern Valley and into the Falzthurn Valley are especially pretty. A total of 201 km of World Cup level classic and skating trails are available in the region surrounding the Achensee.

  Entrance is at the cross-country center in Pertisau. The trail leads through the forest to the Falzthurn Alms and then across expansive fields to the Gramaialm (serves food and drinks) at the end of the Falzthurn Valley.
