Beginners Loser – Altaussee

The ski resort of Loser is a beginners’ paradise. The entire ski resort can be explored on easy slopes. Children can practise their first turns using the moving carpet in the Skikinderland children's area. Two local ski schools offer professional ski instruction here. From the moving carpet, children can progress to the practice lift and then the button lift. Easy slopes can be found on the Sandling side and on the Loser side, where they lead from the mountain down to the valley. The slopes above the treeline at the Loserfenster quad chairlift can also be explored on easy runs. Austria's longest family slope (Familienabfahrt) leads down to the valley over a distance of 9 km. As well as opening up access for skiing or snowboarding, the two chairlifts can also transport pedestrians to the Loser side. This is ideal for anyone planning to go tobogganing and winter hiking or simply wanting to enjoy the view and some good food on the Loser.
