No valley run to Oetz, parking feesDescription Hochoetz – Oetz
From Oetz, you can reach Hochoetz at 2020 m in just 8 minutes with the eight-seater gondola lift Acherkogelbahn. Since 2017, there has also been an eight-seater gondola lift from Ochsengarten to Hochoetz. The detachable four-seater chairlift Brunnenkopf then takes you up to 2200 m. Intermediate slopes, above the tree line, lead back down to Hochoetz. An easy or intermediate run takes you to the Kühtaile six-seater chairlift, which also ends at the mountain stations of the gondola lifts.
Via the intermediate runs 5 and 9, you can either reach the Schönblick mid-station, from where the double chairlift Acherkogel Section II takes you back to Hochoetz, or ski down to Ochsengarten. Here, another short drag lift serves easy slopes. Ochsengarten, which can also be reached by road from Oetz, is another entry point to the ski area. With the Ochsengarten eight-seater gondola lift, you can return to the ski area.
To reach the lifts in the Balbachtal, you need to take the Zirben platter lift a short way up and then follow a connecting trail to the Wetterkreuz six-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods and the double chairlifts Balbach and Mohrenkopf. The Wetterkreuz six-seater chairlift serves slopes of all difficulty levels and is also suitable for a detour into the powder snow. Since 2020, a newly constructed black run perfectly connects these two parts of the ski area from Balbach to Ochsengarten.
From the top station of the Mohrenkopf lift, you can either return to the lift via the black run 8 or take the connecting trail 3 back to Hochoetz. For beginners, Hochoetz also offers the practice lifts Ötzilift, Weselelift, and WIDI-Lift. To return to the valley to Oetz, you must take the Acherkogelbahn back down, as there is no valley run to Oetz.
