Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Hochoetz – Oetz
The black slopes No. 14 (Balbach-Ochsengarten), No. 8 (Mohrenkopf), and No. 12 (Buckelpiste Wetterkreuz) are very popular among advanced skiers. The challenging slope No. 14 was newly constructed in 2020 and connects the Balbach area with Ochsengarten without having to take the Mohrenkopfbahn. Other highlights include the many freeride opportunities and numerous ski routes at the Wetterkreuzbahn in the Balbach valley. In other parts of the ski area, there is always the possibility to find a powder run next to the slope. Tip for experts: From the Wetterkreuz mountain station via ski route 3, Buckelpiste 12, and black slope 14 all the way down to Ochsengarten.
- many freeride/deep snow areas
