Environmental protection of the ski resort Hochoetz – Oetz
All forests that should not be entered are closed off with signs and fences. Waste is separated in the ski area. In summer, the ski slopes are used as pastures and fertilized only with manure. There is an energy management system for the snowmaking facilities. There is a photovoltaic system at the WIDIVERSUM. Exhaust heat from the engine room of the Acherkogelbahn is used for heating and hot water in the mountain panorama restaurant. Ski buses are extensively subsidized. Events are planned sustainably.

The nearest train station is located in the Ötztal-Bahnhof district at the entrance to the Ötztal valley and is about 7 km from the ski area. Buses are available. - Ski buses

- Ski buses run from Oetz, Habichen, Piburg, and Sautens directly to the valley station in Oetz. The newly established ski bus stop is located right next to the gondola lift. From Haiming and Haimingerberg, a ski bus goes to Ochsengarten. There are also ski buses between Ochsengarten and Kühtai, as well as additional ski buses and regular buses that can be used free of charge with a valid ski pass throughout the Ötztal.
