Most of the runs are located above the treeline and are very wide. There are runs of all difficulty levels in this high alpine terrain. The valley run to Pill is the only run in Hochgurgl that leads through a forested area. The slopes at the Bruggenboden and Steinmann lifts lead through the Obergurgl pine forest to the valley.

There are ski routes leading through the Ferwalltal and from the Hohen Mut down to Obergurgl.
Obergurgl and Hochgurgl are connected by the Top Express (8-person gondola lift).
