10 mountain restaurants & ski huts
Hoadl Haus panoramic restaurant
At the mountain station of the Olympiabahn lift at 2,340 m
Fascinating views of the mountains and the Inn Valley (Inntal). In fine weather, the windows at the front are raised: full panorama - a very scenic place to eat. The building won the ISR Architecture Award in 2009 and features a self-service restaurant serving a wide selection of dishes and space for 600 diners.
Mountain hut tip
At the mountain station of the Birgitzköpflbahn lift at 2,035 m
Beautiful view of the opposing main section of the ski resort. You can see the Women's Olympic run, the Hoadl with the Olympiabahn lift and the Pleisen from here. Some people come up purely for the sun terrace. Simple, good cooking and a friendly team.
Beside the Karleiten slope at 2,050 m
Centrally located in the ski resort with a top view of the Golden Roofpark. Great sun terrace and pretty, modern wooden architecture. Hearty soups and classic hut specialities in the self-service restaurant.
Beside the base station of the Pleisenbahn lift at 1,840 m
Authentic home cooking is served in the mountain hut run by the Freisinger family. It offers the most Tyrolean charm of all the huts in the ski resort. It is rather small and is usually very popular.
On the Women's Olympic slope at 2,000 m
Known as "the most rustic hut in Axamer Lizum". Sun terrace, bar and even barbecues from time to time. Our opinion: a great place for a break!
At the base station of the Olympiabahn lift at 1,580 m
Modern café-restaurant. Large conservatory with a view of the Kalkkögel and the Kaserwald beginners’ area.
Der weiße Rausch
At the end of runs 3 and 4 at 1,600 m
"Der weiße Rausch" is not a classic hut, but rather a modern bistro bar in the Tyrolean snow sport competence centre - Lizum 1600. Very nice atmosphere and terrace right beside the slope. Lunch: soups, pasta and burgers. Afternoons: sausages and soups. Evenings: for overnight guests only.
