The Aspen Highlands ski area is located a few kilometers from the center. From Highlands Village, the lifts take you up to over 3,500 meters. Freeriders climb a few extra vertical meters on foot to reach the runs of the Highland Bowl. But even those who don't share this enthusiasm will find numerous challenging slopes for skiing. In the lower half of the ski area, beginners will also find suitable pistes.
