Lifts/cable cars Åre

From modern combined installations to button lifts, the ski resort of Åre offers a wide selection of facilities. Options for accessing the Åreskutan, and the highest point in the ski resort, include a cable car that runs for almost 3 kilometres directly from Åre By. On the front side of the Åreskutan, there is a modern combined installation (8-person chairlift and 8-person gondola) and several chairlifts. The Sadeln (connection between Åre and Björnen) is accessed from both sides by a high-speed 6-person chairlift. The Sadelexpressen even has weather-protection covers and heated seats. The historic Bergbanan (funicular) transports visitors up to the slopes at a leisurely pace directly from the centre of Åre. All over the rear side of the Åreskutan, around Rödkullen and in Åre Björnen, there are only tow lifts and button lifts. Some moving carpets for children and beginners round off the selection of lifts.
