1/8 Wurzeralm
The Wurzeralm funicular was equipped in 2020 with new vehicles from Carvatech, each accommodating 140 people. The lift system already has a long history and has undergone significant renovations. In its original version, it was built in 1978 by Waagner-Biro with cars for 110 passengers. In 1995, it was rebuilt by Voest-Alpine and fitted with larger cars, initially designed for 165 passengers. At the time of its reopening in 1995, the lift system was the fastest free-standing funicular in Europe.
