There are probably only a few ski resorts that feel larger than the Skiliftkarussell in Winterberg, despite having just over 20 kilometers of slopes. This is because the total length of the slopes is made up of a variety of runs spread across seven ski mountains, each with several skiable sides. The distance from the entry point at Remmeswiese to the top station of the ski lift on the north slope of Kahlen Asten is a full three kilometers. In between, the terrain constantly goes up and down with changing views, but you never get a complete overview of the entire ski area – and this also contributes to the perceived size of this ski resort.
