Access, Parking Winterberg (Skiliftkarussell)

While the arrival from the west (from Olpe) is usually no problem, those coming from the Ruhr area or eastern Westphalia often run into traffic jams on the weekends. The traffic usually begins at the end of the Autobahn in Bestwig with its 7 traffic lights and then before Winterberg itself. Those who want to avoid this, can simply take the Meschede exit and drive via Remblinhause, Boedefeld, Siedlinghausen and Atlastenberg to the Nordhang. There is a small and a large parking lot right behind the Nordhang lift. Some of the parking lots are in bad condition, particularly the large parking lot at the Bremberg, which at least is better connected to the ski slopes since the 2012/2013 season (the new Schneewittchen run leads right past the upper end of the parking lot). There are limited parking spaces at the Skiliftkarussell, especially at the Buere, where three chairlifts are located and which is the place most easily accessed (without traffic) when coming from Bestwig via Silbach.
