The ski area on Wallberg is a tip for experts. There haven't been any ski lifts for a long time, but the Wallbergbahn conveniently takes you from Rottach-Egern up to the picturesque Wallberg, high above the Tegernsee Valley, for skiing. There you'll find the ski route over the Erlen- and Glaslhang,The ski area on Wallberg is a tip for experts. There you'll find the ski route over the Erlen- and Glaslhang, which used to be a "black" groomed run and FIS course. Olympic champion Toni Sailer still holds the course record here. Since the ski area on Wallberg is only recommended for experienced skiers, there is a very attractive alternative: the toboggan run on Wallberg. For over half an hour, you can race from the panoramic restaurant via the Wallbergmoosalm all the way down to the valley station in Rottach-Egern, where you can also rent toboggans. Remarkable: Throughout the entire season, consistently high slope quality is ensured. So, while Wallberg is a small ski area, it is a very enjoyable winter sports destination for the whole family.
