Ruhpolding is the cross-country skiing Mecca of the Bavarian Alps. There is a reason why the annual Biathlon World Cup is held in the Chiemgau Arena. Perfectly prepared trails lead from Ruhpolding into the surrounding valleys and you can access a trail directly at the Unternberg ski area. The trails are connected to the trail network in Reit im Winkl.
