Todtnauberg is one of the highest villages in the Black Forest. The entire ski area is situated at an altitude of over 1000 m. As a result, skiing is often possible in Todtnauberg while the lifts in other parts of the Black Forest are still closed. The slopes at the Stübenwasen lift and the floodlit slope at the Kapellen lift are equipped with snowmaking systems.
