The entire ski area is connected to the public sewage system. Comprehensive waste separation is practiced throughout the ski area. Gentle tourism is a priority in the Defereggental. The lifts are energy-efficient and the ski buses are subsidized.

- Ski buses in the Defereggental run from Huben, Hopfgarten, St. Veit, Bruggen, Feistritz, Staller Sattel, Erlsbach, Maria Hilf, and St. Jakob to the Brunnalmbahn. Free of charge with a valid guest card. In East Tyrol, numerous ski buses operate, including from Lienz and Matrei.
