1/15 Schindlergratbahn
The new 10-person Schindlergrat gondola replaces the Schindlergratbahn 3-seater chairlift. Compared to its predecessor, the lift is significantly extended. After a mountain-side mid-station located at the site of the old top station—and thus the highest point of the route—the lift continues to the top station of the Vallugalift.
The Schindlergratbahn offers two different boarding options. In the gondolas for "experts," you can exit at the mid-station (for challenging slopes) and at the top station. In the gondolas for "families," the doors do not open at the mid-station, so you can only exit at the top station.
The new 10-person Schindlergrat gondola offers significantly more comfort, higher transport capacity, and an extended route. This allows for additional downhill options for winter sports enthusiasts. The base station of the modern lift is located slightly south of its predecessor, providing better access to the existing slopes. The old top station of the Schindlergratbahn 3-seater chairlift now serves as a mid-station, still the highest point of the lift. From there, you can travel about 400 meters further down, where the new "final station" is located near the exit of the Vallugalift. Here, winter sports enthusiasts can directly access the Schindlergrat, Mattun, and Valfagehr runs.
