Sölden is a paradise for advanced skiers. In addition to the many challenging slopes, there are numerous off-piste areas to explore. Whether on the two glaciers, the Gaislachkogl, or the Giggijoch – powder enthusiasts will get their money’s worth. The Gaislachkogl is also known as the freeride mountain in the Ötztal. There is a Freeride Check with all the important information available. Basically, you can descend in all directions through steep gullies, cliffs, powder slopes, and spring snow runs. Due to the high-alpine terrain and associated risks, expert guidance is strongly recommended.
