Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows

Environmental protection of the ski resort Sölden

The Sölden ski resort is largely operated with new and energy-efficient facilities. Local mobility is promoted through a comprehensive ski bus service. The entire ski area is connected to the public sewage system. Many restaurants in the ski resort support products from the region. Protected forest areas may not be entered. A pioneering photovoltaic project is currently being developed at the Tiefenbach Glacier. After the test phase, the project will be expanded into a large-scale facility by 2026, which will cover part of the mountain’s electricity needs with solar energy.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • No direct train connection
  • Comprehensive ski bus network
  • Scheduled buses
  • Free ski buses operate within the town and from Längenfeld, Zwieselstein, and Vent. There is also a ski bus to the glacier as long as the glacier road is open.
