It takes just under an hour from Highway 70 to the Snowmass ski area. Unfortunately, there are no free parking spaces. Winter Closure
Highway 82 to Twin Lake via Independence Pass is closed in winter. Aspen and Snowmass Village can only be reached in winter via Basalt and Glenwood Springs (Highway 70).
