It takes about a half hour from Highway 70 to Snowmass ski resort. Unfortunately, there is a fee for parking.

Winter Closure

Highway 82 to Twin Lake via Independence Pass is closed in the winter. Aspen and Snowmass Village can only be accessed during the winter viw Basalt and Glenwood Springs (Highway 70).
