1/1 Sonntagskogelbahn 2
The 8-seater chairlift Sonntagskogelbahn 2 replaces the 4-seater chairlift Sonntagskogel 2. The state-of-the-art lift system from Doppelmayr significantly increases transport capacity. With weather protection covers, heated seats, and a child-safe boarding system, the new 8-seater chairlift offers a major boost in safety and comfort. By extending and optimizing the route, the lift system is also much more attractive for repeat rides.
Like its predecessor, a fixed-grip 4-seater chairlift, Sonntagskogelbahn 2 connects Grafenberg in Wagrain with Gernkogel in St. Johann Alpendorf. With the new, high-capacity 8-seater chairlift, a bottleneck is eliminated and waiting times are minimized, making it much easier to switch between the mountains.
The new lift system is equipped with weather protection covers and heated seats. In addition, the 8-seater chairlift features a safety bar lock and a conveyor belt entry that automatically adjusts to the size of the passengers. This greatly increases safety on the 8-seater chairlift Sonntagskogel 2, especially for families with children and children's ski lessons.
Another improvement is made to the lift route. The new Sonntagskogelbahn 2 lift route is significantly longer and leads slightly offset to just below the summit of Sonntagskogel, near the mountain station of the Sonntagskogelbahn. This opens up an attractive area on Sonntagskogel for repeat rides.
