Komperdellbahn (YOC 2023)
New 10-seater gondola lift in Serfaus

The new Komperdellbahn with 10-seater cabins replaces the 6-seater gondola, which had been in operation since 1988. The new 10-seater gondola runs on a new route with a mid-station. The cabins are especially spacious, so all types of sports equipment—skis and snowboards in winter, bikes in summer—as well as strollers and wheelchairs can be accommodated easily.

The stations of the comfortable, new Komperdellbahn are designed to be barrier-free. The valley station is discreetly integrated into the landscape right next to the old valley station and offers a spacious ski depot, a ski rental with shop, as well as storage and operational areas for the cable car service. At the mid-station, located at the same height as the mountain restaurant Leithe Wirt, the gondola station is integrated. The mountain station is located at the same site.

The advantages of the route with the new mid-station include relieving the Gampen area, allowing for a descent to the valley under challenging conditions—especially for less confident winter sports enthusiasts—and providing better access to the mountain restaurant Leithe Wirt, both for visitors and for easier deliveries.
