Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows
Snow-reliable rating Schladming – Planai/Hochwurzen/Hauser Kaibling/Reiteralm (4-Berge-Skischaukel)
The sub-areas Planai/Hochwurzen, Reiteralm, and Hauser Kaibling aim for an early season start every year. In some cases, the first turns can even be made in October (record in 2009/2010 on 17.10.2009). The artificial snowmaking systems on all ski mountains are extremely powerful and ensure excellent valley runs even in spring. Another major advantage is the orientation of most slopes, which are north-facing. This means they are hardly exposed to direct sunlight.
