The new 10-seater gondola lift Kohlmais I in Saalbach replaces the Gruppenumlaufbahn Kohlmais as well as the Kohlmais 3-seater chairlift. The valley station of the new Kohlmaisbahn I houses the garage for the new cabins as well as an additional underground car park with approximately 100 parking spaces. The new Kohlmaisbahn I is a Doppelmayr D-Line with DDD drive. It is equipped with the new Omega V cabins. The new Kohlmaisbahn I is directly connected to the simultaneously constructed 10-seater gondola lift Kohlmaisbahn II, which continues the route to the Kohlmaiskopf. Passengers can travel through the mid-station without changing lifts. Overall, the two lifts on the route from Saalbach to Kohlmaiskopf represent a significant improvement in quality.
