The evaluation is done as follows
Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Obertauern
There are only a few truly steep slopes in the Obertauern ski area, but they are a real challenge. The descent from the Gamsleitenspitz is reserved for absolute experts. The "Super Seven" refers to the seven longest runs in the entire ski area, and they are marked accordingly on the piste map and in the ski area. While only some of these are classified as "difficult," the real challenge lies in the length of the runs: your thighs will definitely be burning!
Freeriders can choose from numerous routes on all exposures, with the high altitude promising excellent powder well into spring. At the Freeride Checkpoint on piste 16c, freeriders can get their bearings and check their avalanche transceivers for proper functioning.
- many freeride/deep snow areas
- some mogul slopes
