Skiing & Snowboarding on the Kitzsteinhorn

Kitzsteinhorn’s wide glacier slopes are covered in natural snow, perfectly groomed and feature a spectacular high-alpine backdrop for skiing and snowboarding. 41 kilometers of slopes feature easy, intermediate and difficult/expert slopes to choose from. Further down, especially families and mellow-minded skiers enjoy the moderate slopes and closeness to town of the Maiskogel.

The all-new ALPIN CARD

The Ski ALPIN CARD, your new key to three premium ski regions, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, Schmitten in Zell am See and Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun, will launch during the 2019/20 ski winter season. With 408 kilometres of slopes, 120 cable cars & lifts and plenty of attractions including glaciers, the new card promises nearly endless mountain bliss and is thus THE highlight in the Alpine region.

The K-onnection to the future: Kaprun – Maiskogel – Kitzsteinhorn

Directly from the village of Kaprun with the aid of two new gondola lifts, first up the Maiskogel, from there to the Langwiedboden and the very heart of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area! December 2019, an ultra-modern tri-cable gondola, the 3K Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn-Konnection, will link the Maiskogel with the Kitzsteinhorn.Opening in December 2018: MK Maiskogelbahn and Kaprun Center

New Black Mamba slope

With up to a 63% incline from the Kristall lift base station (2,265 m) to the Langwiedboden. The black slope No. 14 is 1,000 meters long, covers 290 vertical meters and is a very "poisonous" slope - ideal for advanced skiers who like it steep.

New Gipfelwelt 3000

The Kitzsteinhorn peak station at 3029 meters is the highest point in the Province of Salzburg that is comfortably accessible to everyone. The Gipfelwelt 3000 is found in the newly renovated peak station. The Cinema 3000 and the National Park Gallery are located inside this bold construction. Fascination, energy and the soaring emotions of high alpine nature as well as the Hohe Tauern National Park can be experienced and felt with all senses. The high alpine offering is complemented by the modern infrastructure, which is not usually expected at such high elevations.
