Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Idre Fjäll

The Idre Fjäll ski resort offers several challenging runs for experts on the north, south, and east sides. In general, the runs are quite short and intense. A special highlight is the extremely difficult run Chocken. It is considered one of the steepest slopes in Scandinavia. From the top, you have a full view of the slope. Some skiers and snowboarders turn back and choose an easier run down to the valley. The Chocken run is also used for the FIS Speed Ski World Cup, where speeds of up to 200 km/h are reached.
