From Heavenly Village (South Lake Tahoe), the 8-person Heavenly Gondola takes you up to the ski resort. From the California Lodge, the Aerial Tramway cable car and a fast chairlift transport visitors to the slopes. In the actual ski resort, most of the lifts are fast fixed-grip chairlifts. Practice lifts and moving carpets are available for beginners.
