Environmental protection of the ski resort Gerlitzen

The Gerlitzen ski resort places great importance on an intact environment. It is easily accessible by public transport, including regular buses, trains, and the regional Villach Winter Ski Bus. A partnership with the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) allows free arrival with the Carinthian S-Bahn lines. 100% of the energy required for the lifts and snowmaking systems comes from green electricity. Digital snow depth measurement on the grooming machines ensures that only the necessary amount of snow is produced. The ski huts use regional products from local farms. After construction phases, the area is restored to its natural state.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • Train connection
