Families with children are very well taken care of in Furano. Children under 12 years receive a free ski pass. At both base stations, there are beginner areas/children's zones with their own conveyor belts. The slopes in the lower part of the ski area are very wide and easy, making them ideal for the whole family.

Beginner Zone Furano
Directly at the valley station of the Furano Ropeway, there is a designated area with a conveyor belt and practice facilities. The area can be used free of charge.
Beginner Zone Kitanomine
Directly at the valley station of the Kitanomine gondola, there is an enclosed area with a conveyor belt and practice facilities. Additionally, there is a short tubing run. The area can be used free of charge.
