There is an extensive network of cross-country trails close to the ski resort of Brighton. The Solitude Nordic & Snowshoe Center offers snowshoe hiking as well as cross-country trails. Access is via the Solitude Nordic Center which is located right next to the ski resort.

The cross-country trails are easy and intermediate in classic and skating style. There are flat areas by the lake and hilly, woody sections. Cross-country ski lessons are available for groups and individuals. The untouched landscape in Big Cottonwood Canyon is beautiful.
