The Loischkopfbahn replaces the Einhornbahn II 4-seater chairlift and the Loischkopf 2-seater chairlift. It serves the route from the valley station of the old Einhornbahn II, via a mid-station located at the mountain station of the same 4-seater chairlift, and then continues to the mountain station of the old Loischkopfbahn. The modern 10-seater gondola offers more comfort and a shorter ride without the need to change lifts to reach the Loischkopf.
