Ski resort Blidinje – Risovac

The ski resort Blidinje – Risovac is located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

For skiing and snowboarding, there are 4 km of slopes available. 3 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,290 and 1,551 m.

The small ski area of Risovac is located in the Blidinje National Park, between the 2,074 m high Vran Mountain and the 2,228 m high Cvrsnica Mountain. In 2001, the new Risovac I four-seater chairlift was opened, providing access to a moderately difficult and wide forest clearing run. On the right side, there is the Poma platter lift Vucnica, which also serves a moderately difficult forest clearing run. All the slopes end back at the chairlift and the platter lift. An easy connecting slope leads from the platter lift to run no. 1. Slightly below the chairlift, there is the short Mala practice lift, which serves an easy slope for beginners.

Towering rock formations rise above the ski area, giving the rather simple terrain a somewhat more alpine feel. At the foot of the slopes, you can stop for a meal or end your ski day at the Zicara restaurant. The nearest hotels are located at Blidinje Lake, a few kilometers down the road. Further expansion of the ski area and new hotels are planned for the future.
