The Big Sky Resort ski area extends around the 3,403 m high Lone Mountain. With the incorporated ski areas Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks, it is one of the largest ski resorts in North America. The runs lead from Spirit Mountain (2,447 m) over Andesite Mountain (2,682 m) up to Lone Mountain (3,403 m). In addition, all accommodations are connected to the ski area by lifts and slopes (Real Estate Access). There are around 20 different areas in Big Sky Resort: Lone Moose Area, Ramcharger Area, Southern Comfort Area, Spanish Peaks Area, Thunder Wolf Area, Challenger Area, Explorer Area, Iron Horse Area, Lone Peak Area, Pony Express Area, Powder Seeker Area, Swift Current Area, Derringer Area, Headwaters Area, Lone Tree Area, Madison Area, North Summit Area, Stagecoach Area, Dakota Area, Shedhorn Area, and the Real Estate Access Areas.
