Ski lifts at the ski resort Big Sky Resort
No other North American ski resort has more modern chairlifts with weather protection hoods and heated seats than Big Sky Resort. Most of the slopes and runs are accessed by state-of-the-art 8-seater, 6-seater, and 4-seater chairlifts. Some of these lifts even feature weather protection hoods and heated seats. The 10-seater Explorer gondola with a mid-station provides access to the many easy slopes at Mountain Village and connects to the Lone Peak Tram. The Lone Peak Tram takes you up to Lone Mountain at 3,403 meters and to the extremely challenging slopes. Some slopes are also served by slower 2-seater, 3-seater, and 4-seater chairlifts. All accommodations in the ski area are accessible via chairlifts and platter lifts (Real Estate Access Lifts). For beginners and families, there are several conveyor belts at all base stations and at the mid-station of the Explorer Gondola.
