Gastronomy/Eating at the ski resort Bad Kleinkirchheim

The Bad Kleinkirchheim and St. Oswald ski resort features wonderful rustic and cozy huts which are distributed throughout the ski resort. They place value on serving regional specialties. Most of the restaurants are wait staffed, but there are also some self-service restaurants. You can dine very well in some of the huts. Steak, Carinthian "Salmon" filet (trout filet) and fresh prawns are on some of the menus. The huts are very cozy and you can also have a look in the kitchen at some of them. There is something for everyone's taste here.

At the end of the Maibrunn slope in the Bach section of Bad Kleinkirchheim

The Trattler Einkehr is a stylish hut/restaurant and is well known for its good food and drinks. The highlights are the various steaks and the regional cuisine with Carinthian specialties.

On the Maibrunn slope

The rustic and cozy Unterwirthuette offers local specialties and homemade dishes. Carinthian "Salmon" filet (trout filet) and fresh prawns are on the menu. The hut has won numerous awards.

Mountain hut tip

Groar Keusch'n

At the end of the Maibrunn World Cup slope, above the Bach lift

Probably the most rustic hut in the entire ski resort. Gerti has been at the hut for the last 20 ski seasons and thoroughly enjoys serving her guests. Things can go on pretty late in the evening here.

Maibrunnhütte

At the mountain station of the Maibrunn lift at 1800 m

The Maibrunnhuette is a rustic hut with a ceramic oven and Carinthian delicacies. It's a good place to warm up on cold days.
