Beginners feel very comfortable at the practice lifts in the valley (Kaiserburg, Bach, St. Oswald) or on the Nockalm. The Nockalm offers a snow-sure and easy beginner area at 1,870 m at the Panoramalift and Höhenlift. There are no beginner slopes at Kaiserburg, Strohsack, Maibrunn, Spizegg, and Brunnach. Beginners cannot access the entire ski area.
