Environmental protection of the ski resort Axamer Lizum

Since 2022, the energy-efficient Hoadlbahn with direct drive has replaced three chairlifts in Axamer Lizum. Fewer lift towers and lower energy consumption make it sustainable. Starting in 2023, the ski area operates its own hydroelectric power plant on the Axamer Bach, which largely covers the ski area's electricity needs with renewable energy.

Axamer Lizum is easily accessible from Innsbruck by public transport. The free ski bus is regularly promoted. Free ski buses depart from Axams, Innsbruck, Völs, Kematen, Götzens, and Birgitz to the ski area. The panoramic restaurant Hoadl-Haus features an integrated thermal solar system. Forest and reforestation areas are effectively fenced off.
